This is a beautiful and rarely seen 1930s era matching set of lingerie consisting of a chemise slip and step-in panties or tap pants. They are made of a pale yellow silk georgette in a plissé finish, lightweight, fine and semi-transparent. Both pieces are delicately embroidered with lilac, pink and green coloured flowers. Both pieces have scalloped edges and the panties are trimmed in green embroidery while the chemise is trimmed in lilac. The chemise has spaghetti straps and is constructed to follow the body silhouette. The step-ins close with two small shell buttons at either side and have a satin silk centre front and back.
