The Japanese science fiction scene made great strides in the postwar decades, thanks in no small part to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of Japan and this group’s illustrious members. In the waning years of the twentieth century, though, the genre seemed to lose steam before a resurgence in more recent years. Part two of a SFWJ member’s look at the group to mark its sixtieth anniversary.
