This is an image of my Oval based Western Electric model 202 with an E-1 handset. Type D-1 is stamped on the back of the phone above the cord hole. The 4H dial on the 202is mounted in a recess in the base. Late 1920’s through late 30’s. Today these telephones are at least 80 years old.
